"Super Band" is the first large-scale band program produced after the establishment of China Media Group, with China Central Television as the core, and jointly created with CNR, CRI, Baidu, Alibaba, CCTV.com, CCTV Music, three stations, multiple networks, and ground activities. It presents the diverse branches of Chinese pop culture, offering an audio-visual feast.
Program Concept and Format
"Super Band" aims to break the inherent perception of band forms, popularizing niche music by shaping music idols. It also showcases the unique charm of CCTV, subverting stereotypes, and creating a distinctive pop culture feast.
"Super Band" is a brand-new live competitive music program. Each episode features two super bands showcasing their talents through six rounds of exciting performances. Additionally, each episode invites two groups of hosts as "supporting guests" to boost the bands, making the show well-paced and enriching the rhythm of the program.
Another highlight in the program format is the collaboration with Baidu to apply facial recognition technology to the performance. Using facial recognition and human capture technology, real-time interaction with the live audience is achieved. During the live broadcast, viewers can vote for their favorite bands and also like and cheer for individual band members.
Stage Design
The stage design of "Super Band" draws inspiration from the independence, freedom, and unrestrained nature of rock music, ultimately landing on space sci-fi. To reflect the vastness of space, the stage design has no borders, providing an immersive experience for all guests and the audience, enhancing the connection between the stage and the audience, and creating the best effect for band performances.

Rendering
As a music program targeting the younger generation, the overall stage design leans towards a youthful yet highly technological aesthetic. The two bands perform on "flying saucers" in symmetrical directions, with a triangular guest area in the middle for performances, and curved commentary areas combined with mechanical arms on both sides of the studio, ultimately forming a futuristic robot shape.

Rendering
The entire stage integrates the characteristics of rock music and current trends, using metallic materials and LED outlining to visually enhance the layering and three-dimensionality of the space, showcasing the hardcore charm of rock everywhere.

Rendering
The stage of "Super Band" emphasizes visual tension while aligning with the independent and free spirit of rock bands. Therefore, the main screen imagery and the floor screen are combined to create shapes, with side-hung scenic screens extending the imagery, complemented by rhythmically changing lights, fully expanding the concept of space freedom. This renders the vastness and mystery of the interstellar in the studio, symbolizing that both bands and the audience can freely traverse this borderless music world, embarking on a joyful and wonderful musical journey.

Lighting Design
"Super Band" is an innovative program, and the lighting design also makes breakthrough changes. A major highlight of the lighting design is the immersive environmental lighting on stage. Complementing the main visual presentation of the floor screen and main screen, the program creatively uses LED floating glass spheres, resembling planets floating in outer space; the use of LED bee-eye moving head lights creates a brilliant and deep starry sky in this universe. Through immersive lighting, all viewers are transported into the hidden realm of music, strengthening the expression of the cosmic space and completing the visual impact of the robot elements and the universe concept.
Considering the on-site stage effect, the lighting needs to be extremely precise and ingenious. The stage lighting uses cutting and imaging moving lights to achieve precise spotlighting on the hosts. At the same time, 350W three-in-one beam lights are used to create a forest of beams, highlighting the band's expressiveness amidst the interplay of light and shadow. The final result presents the band's performance as if freely traversing the stars, and also immerses the live audience in distant space, with dynamic light and shadow, enhancing the overall atmosphere of the program.
