Every frame of the Hangzhou Asian Games opening ceremony was a painting. The refined elegance of the Song Dynasty in Jiangnan captivated the audience, as a picturesque landscape unfolded across the entire venue.
Under the overarching aesthetic direction of chief director Sha Xiaolan, lighting chief designer Wu Guoqiang and the lighting team from Fengshang Culture excelled in lighting design and production, using the language of light to empower the performances, revealing the beauty and grandeur of ancient Hangzhou, the misty rain of Jiangnan, and Chinese landscapes. From the structural design of the lighting to the use of light in each performance, the design highlighted simplicity and meticulous attention to detail.
